Entrepreneur, Advisor, Author and Speaker
Jennifer is a successful entrepreneur, business advisor, author and speaker. She’s a North Carolina native, who grew up working in her family’s business in Winston-Salem. After beginning her professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Jennifer flew the coop during the dot com craze to accept her first CFO position. She served as the CFO of eight investor-backed startups with five successful exits, and was a finalist for the Triangle Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Award. Jennifer was a 2013 winner of the TBJ’s Women in Business award for her first entrepreneurial venture, the fractional professional services firm TechCXO RTP. In her current role as Co-founder and CEO of myBeeHyve, she was selected for an NC IDEA SEED grant of $50k and the NC IDEA SOAR program for female entrepreneurs, and was a nominee for the Cape Fear Region YWCA Women on Achievement Award. myBeeHyve was also recognized as a 2018 Top 10 Startup to Watch by the NC Tech Association.
Jennifer is passionate about helping women achieve financial independence through entrepreneurship, and is the author of Honey, You Got This! Technology Made Easy for Network Marketers. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of Marshallton Research Laboratories and GrowPath.
Jennifer enjoys a coastal lifestyle in Wilmington, NC with her husband Carl and a retired racing greyhound named Snickers. She is proud of her son who recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design, and her daughter who recently completed an exciting Disney College Intern program in Orlando and transferred to UNC-Wilmington in the Fall of 2018.

The Coastal Women’s Ventures is the first Center of its kind in Southeastern North Carolina. The Coastal Women’s Ventures Center is a partnership created between the YWCA Lower Cape Fear and The Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) to empower women through economic advancement and foster a community of women’s entrepreneurship.
