COVID-19 Update | Aquatics Facility

A- A A+

Following updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and decisions of Governor Cooper, and with an abundance of caution, YWCA Lower Cape Fear has made the difficult decision to close our aquatic facility and temporarily suspend all swim programs, effective Wednesday, March 18th, until at least April 30th.

Please know that we do not take these decisions lightly, but they are coming from a need to keep our community safe. As a nonprofit, we are doing what we can to serve during this time. We ask that you join us in the effort and continue to pay your membership fee so that we can use this revenue to “do good” and help our neighbors and staff in need during this time of uncertainty.

We also understand that our members may be facing financial uncertainty, so if you have any concerns about your membership, give us a call: 910-799-6820.

It is our strong intention to resume all normal operations as soon as possible. We are monitoring the situation closely, as things change, we will continue to keep you informed. We are grateful for your understanding and flexibility and support.

Thank you for being a part of our YWCA family. We wish you comfort and health over the next couple of weeks and look forward to coming together again soon.
