Some resources to help support victims of violence in our community.

  • The Carousel Center

    Carousel Child Advocacy Center is called to aid child survivors of abuse and neglect, and their families in their everyday work, whether it is through victim support, medical services and forensic interviews, therapeutic services, case management, or a host of other activities that ensure that children who are survivors of abuse can heal, recover, thrive, and shine.

  • Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc.

    For 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. has empowered victims and their families to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing shelter and on-going support services, as well as public awareness and prevention programs. They work toward empowering the increasing number of victims and their families to break the cycle of domestic violence.

  • A Safe Place

    A Safe Place is an empowerment organization focusing on prevention, advocacy, and restoration to assist victims of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. They provide support for physical needs, medical counseling, mental health services, occupational training and more. They also provide provide training and education to our community in order to raise awareness about sex trafficking and to ensure that victims get connected to programs and people who can help them.

  • Good Shepherd Center

    The mission of Good Shepherd Center is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and foster transition to housing. Current programs include the Soup Kitchen; Second Helpings food salvage and distribution program; Sgt. Eugene Ashley Center providing transitional and permanent supportive housing for Veterans and men with disabilities; a Day Shelter providing the homeless with access to showers, clothing, transportation, and on-site mental health and health services; Night Shelter with 118 beds for homeless men, women, and families with children; and, SECU Lakeside Reserve, an affordable 40 apartments for chronically homeless adults with disabilities, including seniors and Veterans.
