New for 2024! We have adjusted Tuesday/Thursday swim times and groups to have fewer swimmers in each group but overall still have the same number of swimmers in our program.
If you would like to request your swimmer to “swim up” please do so prior to the first day of registration by emailing pooldir@ywca-lowercapefear.org
Registration opens Monday, December 11th at 9am – in person, online or by phone
If you choose to register in person please – wait outside so our lobby is clear for pool patrons.
If you choose to register by phone please – if you get our voicemail, leave a voicemail and we will return those messages in the order we receive them. Please do not continue to call as this will make it difficult for us to call out. In your voicemail please leave your swimmers name and preferred swim time/group to help facilitate the registration process.
If you choose to register online – this is the easiest and fastest way to register! We encourage you to access your account prior to the day/time of registration to make sure everything is in order. Please review the instructions below if you are a new member.

Winter Warm up is a 10-week jump-start to summer swim team. It allows all levels of ability to strengthen their stroke technique, starts, turns, muscle strength, endurance, and race strategy in a fun and positive atmosphere. The goal of this program is to promote the sport of swimming as fun, healthy, disciplined exercise and an activity to enjoy throughout life. Swimming has the added benefit of being a team and individual sport. Working together as a team in a relay or measuring one’s personal improvement is the diversity the sport of swimming offers. There are no swim meets in this program but there are time trials within the practice times.
What a great summer 2023 season! We are so proud of the 230+ summer swimmers who participated in the Barracudas summer swim program. Thank you to all the parents, volunteers and swim coaches!
2024 season information will be available in March of 2024. Check back here regularly for information on the season and for registration information.
