There are no swim meets during Winter Warmup but groups will participate in time trials.
Which group should my child swim in?
View our program brochure HERE or the online registration page HERE for short descriptions of swim requirements for each group.
Additionally, THIS document offers more specifics of the skills needed for each swim group and swim season.
Generally, kids are ready for swim team when:
They can swim freestyle and backstroke unassisted across the length of the pool (25 yards). Children 6 & under can join some groups with just 1/2 length, or 12.5 yards.
They are comfortable swimming unassisted in deep water.
They have completed Aqua Tot 3 or Level 3 swim lessons (or equivalent at another swim school).
Able to follow simple, multi-step directions and be ready to accept feedback and be a positive, respectful part of the team.
We are happy to do an assessment! Please contact the Aquatics Director to schedule a time to assess which group or program is right for your swimmer!
