About the Health Summit

The YWCA Health Summit is designed to bring together a diverse group of people who are working to advance health equity. The goal is to educate, advocate, and empower the community to take charge of their health and work with the systems to close health disparities.

Thank you to our Health Summit presenter UnitedHealthcare. UnitedHealthcare contributed funds to the YWCA Lower Cape Fear to develop and execute a health literacy campaign targeting women and BIPOC communities, and focus on reducing the prevalence of health risks linked to obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular health, while increasing overall health literacy in historically and economically disadvantaged communities.

Thank you to our incredible Health Summit Sponsors!
